Sacramental Preparations

Holy Rosary Church welcomes all persons and all families, with open hearts and open arms. We encourage all Catholics as well as those interested, to attend the Holy celebration of the Eucharist and the Lord, our Saviour, Jesus.

Holy Rosary Church also offers sacramental preparation for members of our congregation and persons interested in becoming a member.

Parish Registration:

Every Catholic should be registered as a member of a parish community. Since ours is a non-territorial parish, it is necessary to be registered and practicing in order to be married in the Catholic Church or to have one's baby baptized or to act as a Godparent.

Registration cards are located in the Church and can be picked up at any Mass, or you may also visit our Parish office to complete a registration form in person. On-line registration will soon be offered too.

Christian Marriage:

Arrangements should be made at least one year in advance BEFORE your book your wedding venue.  Please contact the parish office to set an appointment with  a priest.

Christian Baptism:

Parents should arrange with the Pastor for baptism.  Please contact the parish office for more information.

Parish Membership:

Every Catholic should be registered in the Parish. Letters of testimony for godparents and sponsors cannot be given unless one is registered, and please use your weekly envelopes.

Parish Ministries:

The Holy Rosary Church organizes and hosts many different ministries, some organized and directed entirely by volunteering church members. To find out more about Holy Rosary's Ministries, or how you can help, please click here. Join us, we welcome all!

Obtaining Sacramental Records:

All sacramental records for the Archdiocese of Newark are kept at the parish where that particular sacrament was celebrated, assuming the parish is still in existence. Holy Rosary Church has records dating back as far as 1885, when the Parish first became a member of the Archdiocese of Newark.

All inquiries for sacramental records, should be made in person, or by contacting the Holy Rosary Church with a written request. You may use the official request form (in PDF format), or send us a letter to our address.
